Paraffin and Asphaltene Control Products

Paraffin is a hydrocarbon compound that often precipitates on production equipment as a result of changing temperatures and pressures within the producing system. Asphaltenes are organic materials that exist as an aromatic agglomerate that is stabilized by resin molecules. Paraffin is normally found in the tubing close to the surface of the well or in flow lines, but can also form at the perforations and even in the formation, especially in depleted reservoirs and in wells that have undergone extensive hot oiling or hot watering treatments. Paraffin and asphaltene deposition in production and transmission equipment can result in loss of production through the following processes:

  • Plugged tubulars which will restrict or prevent flow
  • Blocked perforations and pore spaces
  • Rod, pump, and valve failures

IMPACT! will conduct a complete survey of your system, through field and laboratory testing, that will enable us to design an effective treatment recommendation to prevent loss of production resulting from paraffin and asphaltene deposition.

Paraffin and Asphaltene Control Chemicals are designed to prevent precipitation and/or to remove existing deposits in the production system. IMPACT! provides an extensive line of paraffin control compounds that will allow us to keep your production volumes up and operating costs down!
